Former Mayor of City of Columbia Bob Coble Endorses Hamilton Grant
Columbia, S.C. –
Former Mayor Bob Coble has announced his endorsement of Democrat Hamilton R. Grant, county council candidate for Richland County’s 8th District. "It is my great pleasure to support Hamilton Grant for Richland County Council District 8.I have known Hamilton and his family for decades. I am proud of the leader he has become.” Hamilton is the President of Grant Business Advisors, LCC (GBA), which is owned by his father. GBA is a financial and strategic advisory firm for nonprofits, small businesses, and middle-market companies. “Knowing the needs of your district is most important to serving it. Hamilton is a lifelong resident of Richland County and is running to bring a progressive and efficient approach to our growing county." The GrantForSC platform aims to ensure that citizens in Richland County feel safe, build infrastructure, conquer food insecurities and receive transparency when it comes to the county’s Penny Sales Tax. He has a proven track record of involvement in the city of Columbia holding positions such as the Co-Chair of the Famously Hot New Year’s Advisory Board and Past President of the Columbia Urban League’s Young Professionals, to name a few. This is the third notable endorsement for Grant since he made his announcement in November. Grant announced his candidacy two months after third-term Richland County Councilman Jim Manning announced he would not seek re-election for his District 8 seat in 2020.
